Course description

Gain the skills you need to measure learning impact and enhance the effectiveness of your educational programs or workplace training. Learn how to develop assessments that align with learning outcomes and create tools to evaluate learner engagement. You’ll develop strategies to measure both academic achievement and the transfer of learning to workplace performance, while identifying ways to link outcomes to program or organizational requirements. Guided by adult learning experts, you will apply practical techniques to real-world and academic contexts to strengthen your ability to assess and evaluate learning with confidence.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to

  • develop assessments that demonstrate achievement of learning outcomes.
  • develop tools to evaluate learner reaction to the learning experience.
  • develop a plan to evaluate transfer of learning to the working environment.
  • determine ways to evaluate business/organization results directly related to the learning experience.
