Course description

Dr. Suzuki so clearly modelled the idea of Lifelong Learning. The Piano Practicum course provides teachers with an invaluable opportunity at any stage in their development. It is for all Suzuki piano teachers who would like to improve their general teaching skills. In a nurturing and supportive environment of peers, using video footage from their home studio and on-site teaching, participants practice self-assessment skills to identify their strengths in teaching and those areas in need of improvement. Topics include communication skills, teaching strategies, diagnostics and observation.
 
Dates: July 31 – August 1, 2024. 
15 hours of class, 8 hours of observation.
