Course description
Music Time (0-24 months):
This fun week includes lots of singing, bouncing with Fuzzy Bear, exploring the xylophones, and dancing to music. You will be partners with your child as we sing traditional folk songs and share the rhythm of language through chants and verse. Music is a natural and important PART OF A CHILD’S GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT. It is important that your child hear you sing the songs and say the rhymes. Repetition reinforces the concepts and eventually your child will sing too! This process will help establish a solid foundation for language development (both speaking and reading). The children will learn to respond rhythmically to music through song, instrument playing and dance, and will develop new skills musically, emotionally, and socially. Designed for Babies ages 0 -24 months. This is a parented class, one adult per child is required.
Music Time (24-36 months):

Music Time (3-5 years):
Sign up to experience the The Kodály approach to teaching music, based on the philosophy of music education developed by Hungarian composer and ethnomusicologist Zoltán Kodály. Children will learn basic musicianship skills, listening skills. They will practice skills such as in-tune singing, a sense of beat, and rhythm, phrasing, and listening to classical composers. The program uses a hierarchy of game songs to reinforce these skills and to aid in social and physical development. Creative art units that explore arts, musical craft making, poetry, story-telling, and movement will be part of this engaging experience. This course is for ages 3-5 year olds and is an un-parented course.
