Course description

Explore how to report on scope 3 GHG emissions. Gain an understanding of the strategic and tactical supply chain resiliency/ESG scope 3 issues as well as approaches to effecting change. Learn more about supply chain resilience, lifecycle analysis, and circular economy. Apply strategic risk assessment tools, including scenario analysis. Identify vulnerabilities in economic, environmental, and social (ESG) activities.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • summarize the components of scope 3 reporting, the reason for it, and the firm level action needed to complete this reporting.
  • explain important supply chain concepts of resiliency, lifecycle, and circular economy.
  • apply strategic tools and approaches to assess supply chain vulnerabilities - scenario planning, simulation, and network analysis.
  • examine responses to economic, environmental, and social risks in the supply chain.

•   This is a standalone course and it is not part of the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Reporting Extension Certificate.

•   This is an online, asynchronous course; it is not an independent study course. There are set due dates for graded and non-graded assessments and students are required to actively participate throughout the course via discussion and other activities.

•   Before your course begins, ensure your MyMRU account is activated. Step-by-step instructions for account activation can be found here.
