VSPE PARN1 - Presentation MRU Parnham Celebration

Course description

Registration in the Elizabeth Parnham Storytelling Celebration is limited to Speech & Drama students of the MRU Conservatory.  Up to four scholarships in the amount of $600 will be awarded to outstanding storytellers, based on adjudicator recommendation. Evaluation criteria includes structure and composition of the story, performance quality, entertainment value, audience connection, delivery style, creativity, personal connection, and quality of voice and speech.

Stories may be original or adapted and must be told in the candidate’s own words, balancing advance preparation with spontaneity and in-the-moment creativity.  The story may not be fully scripted or memorized, and notes are not permitted.  Participants must bring an outline for the adjudicator.  Time limit is 5 minutes.  Please complete the Presentation MRU Performer Information Form.
