Course description

Discover the makeup of effective event marketing including strategy, timing and evaluation. Learn to differentiate between revenue-generating, fundraising, cost-recovery and marketing events. You will create a comprehensive event marketing plan, and identify and develop sponsorship opportunities.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • identify the key components of an event marketing campaign.
  • identify and develop the key aspects of public relations strategies as used in event marketing. 
  • Identify and develop relevant new social media event marketing techniques. 
  • identify and develop sponsorship needs and opportunities. 
  • develop a comprehensive plan and marketing budget for an event.
