Course description

Identify key factors that influence the planning, design and execution of an event. Understand how the goals of an event and needs of stakeholders provide the basis for ongoing decision-making and successful management of the event.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • understand the integration of personal and professional ethics in event management.
  • recognize the importance of strong communication skills in event management.
  • prepare preliminary budget and event research documents.
  • identify and plan event evaluation components.
