XUXD 10003 - Visual Design, Wireframing and Prototyping
Course description
Discover the full spectrum of creating wireframe fidelities, mock-ups and design-validating artifacts. Using a collaborative approach, you will practice how to translate ideas and preliminary concepts into meaningful user interfaces to support business goals and user needs. Learn techniques of getting participants’ feedback from prototyping to developing and leveraging design solutions according to insights and collected data.Learner outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to
- identify design artifact opportunities, select various levels of fidelity prototypes and establish a design system strategy by cataloging design assets/components into a universal ecosystem.
- explain visual design, interaction design and usability testing principles.
- translate ideas into a digital artifact concept that can support business goals.
- demonstrate a collaborative and participative approach during design creation.
- strategize usability testing scenarios, execute user testing with participants, compile and evaluate feedback and translate data insight into clear design action items for further iterations.
- craft meaningful digital experiences, enhance visual design concepts for user interfaces and embrace a fast-paced iterations cycle throughout projects.

Students must enrol in all four courses in the User Experience (UX) Design program at the same time.
