Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • recognize the relationship between strategy and innovation to align with business goals. 
  • identify untapped opportunities and areas of your business or organization where strategic innovation is needed or imperative for success.
  • apply techniques and strategies to lead successful innovation initiatives including practices in systems and design thinking. 
  • recognize organizational factors and behaviours that may impact innovation, positively and negatively. 
  • apply skills and strategies to define, plan and execute strategic planning and innovation.

•   This is an online, asynchronous course; it is not an independent study course. There are set due dates for graded and non-graded assessments and students are required to actively participate throughout the course via discussion and other activities.

•   Course content will be available on the D2L Brightspace Learning Management System (LMS) 3 days prior to the start date of your course. You must be logged in to your MRU Gmail account to access D2L Brightspace. Your instructor will be available on the course start date.
