Course description

Learn about common exceptionalities in the classroom, and discuss current theory and practice related to the nature of exceptionality in its various forms within the school environment.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • identify the strategies and philosophies important in the education of exceptional students. 
  • review the exceptionalities present in students within every day and specialized classrooms. 
  • identify, evaluate, and prioritize the needs of students in a diverse education environment.
