Course description

Learn to document negotiation outcomes, understand common legal terms, get your contract signed and securely store new contracts where they can be easily referenced by stakeholders. Gain an understanding of the importance of contracts in business and how to properly manage them. Discover how to define contract risks and identify risks that contracts create and how to describe common contract structures.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • describe basic contract forms and structures. 
  • understand common contract terms and conditions. 
  • recommend techniques to ensure that contracts are signed and stored appropriately.

•   This is an online, asynchronous course; it is not an independent study course. There are set due dates for graded and non-graded assessments and students are required to actively participate throughout the course via discussion and other activities.
