Course description

Delve into the contract management life cycle and learn about the critical components of outstanding contracts. You will build an understanding of what contracts are and why they are utilized. Review the stages of the contract life cycle and the activities within each phase.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  •  understand the definition of a contract and why they are used
  • identify the business and documentation needs of a contract
  • review supply industry and develop a short list of suppliers
  • manage the RFP process from developing a strategy to negotiation
  • understand how to develop and execute a negotiation strategy

•   This is an online, asynchronous course; it is not an independent study course. There are set due dates for graded and non-graded assessments and students are required to actively participate throughout the course via discussion and other activities.
