Course description

Develop and deliver an effective content marketing strategy by creating, repurposing and curating different types of content across numerous media channels. Learn how to present the right content to the right audience, at the right time and on the right channels from case examples and current best practices. Explore how using engaging content promotes brand awareness and builds loyal communities.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • create engaging content including print and web content, blog posts, web seminars, videos, infographics and email.  
  • use content marketing strategies to reach target audiences through different media channels including print, radio, websites, blogs, videos and social media platforms.  
  • create, repurpose and curate compelling content to attract and engage audiences.  
  • embed content marketing in an integrated marketing and communications plan.  
  • implement a content marketing strategy.

•   This is an online, asynchronous course; it is not an independent study course. There are set due dates for graded and non-graded assessments and students are required to actively participate throughout the course via discussion and other activities.

•   Course content will be available on the D2L Brightspace Learning Management System (LMS) 3 days prior to the start date of your course. You must be logged in to your MRU Gmail account to access D2L Brightspace. Your instructor will be available on the course start date.
