Course description

Experience a variety of useful facilitation techniques, from using visual models for obtaining required information to collaborative problem solving and consensus-building. You will have the opportunity to plan and lead a short, facilitated workshop and receive feedback from peers to help improve your personal facilitation skills. Gain skills to be better prepared to develop presentations, facilitate activities and participate more effectively in meetings and workshops.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Plan and conduct a workshop 
  • Apply a variety of techniques to actively engage stakeholders and manage difficult participants 
  • Manage conflict during facilitations 
  • Use communication and leadership skills to helping groups achieve consensus 
  • Develop and deliver effective and engaging presentations
