Course description

Business analysis plans define the approach and strategies used to conduct business analysis work activities. The plan supports the efforts of the business analyst and the stakeholders. Further, it defines the structure, approach, timing and outcomes of the activities and tasks that are occurring. Students learn these strategies and how they are applied in preparation for working with an organization. This course provides students with the approaches, methods and tools used to design and manage a business analysis plan.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • develop a business plan aligned to the overall goals of an organization.
  • analyze governance structures that impact decision making, prioritization and risk management.
  • establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • create a business analysis plan that defines the strategies involving stakeholder engagement, risk and information management.
  • institute performance measures identifying preventative, corrective or developmental actions required throughout the initiative.

•   This is an online, asynchronous course; it is not an independent study course. There are set due dates for graded and non-graded assessments and students are required to actively participate throughout the course via discussion and other activities.
