Expand your knowledge and skills in procurement by exploring the advantages and disadvantages of making vs buying, subcontracting, and global sourcing. 
Discover the differences between acquiring raw materials, capital goods, and services.

Course outline

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • analyze criteria that drive subcontracting, insourcing, outsourcing, and make or buy decisions.
  • assess factors and risks associated with global sourcing.
  • examine the differences between acquiring capital goods and raw materials.
  • explore the added complexities associated with the procurement of services.
  • recommend strategic supply initiatives to improve organizational performance.
