Course description

Explore various ways to approach ethical issues and different ethical decision-making tactics that can be applied to a non-profit organization, helping to ensure its success.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • enhance your knowledge and understanding of the nonprofit sector in Canada including its breadth, diversity, challenges, constituents, and contributions to individuals, communities, and beyond.
  • explain why ethics are important in the operations and leadership of a nonprofit organization.
  • identify issues that arise and processes that can be used to manage ethical problems.
  • apply an individual ethical decision-making approach to case studies.
  • apply a systematic approach to the development and use of organizational ethics codes.
