Course description

Learn to leverage the power of digital word-of-mouth networks by strategically using the tools and functions of popular social media platforms to meet marketing goals. Employ content strategies to efficiently create engaging content for audiences while using risk mitigation and crisis management tactics to address social media challenges.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:  

  • recognize the benefits and risks of using social media for business.  
  • apply the tools on social media platforms to measure and improve the effectiveness of your social media strategies.  
  • use social media strategically to meet marketing and business goals.  
  • define, establish and employ a consistent profile for common social media platforms.  
  • create, curate, repurpose and adapt content to engage audiences.  
  • utilize crisis management tactics to mitigate social media emergencies.
