Course description

This course is for students who have the goal to live independently or are currently struggling with living independently. Students will learn how to handle the demands of daily life and take care of themselves more independently. Furthermore, they will learn important steps to stay healthy. Students will discover how to plan meals, budget for everyday living and common expenses and get around the city.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • prepare a personalized budget.
  • construct a balanced and nutritious weekly meal plan.
  • demonstrate an ability to use various methods of transportation. 
  • outline how to manage responsibilities effectively.
