Course description

Explore your creative expression and develop a further appreciation for music by working together in a social setting.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • identify the beat in music.
  • identify some of the foundational elements of music (rhythm, note names, and harmony).
  • discuss musical elements (dynamics, rests, and timbre).
  • recognize melody in music played in class.
  • utilize the skills learned in the class to create music.

Prerequisites

Students who are new to TVP Part Time classes must speak with the program team before registering.
