Course description

Explore your creative expression by developing a further appreciation for music in a collaborative and social setting.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • have acquired knowledge of music literacy. 
  • have experienced active involvement making music in a kind and supportive group setting. 
  • have developed an understanding of various musical elements such as; tempo, dynamics, steady beat, rhythm and expression. 
  • have developed an understanding of basic music notation. 
  • have explored a variety of musical instruments. 
  • have developed body awareness through free and guided dance and movement. 
  • have developed greater self-confidence through musical team and leadership exercises. 
  • become familiar with related programs and opportunities within the community. 
  • expand social and community contacts concurrently with skill development.

Students who are new to TVP Part Time classes must speak with the program team before registering.
