Course description

This course will help you to become a more informed citizen by understanding and making connections between current events, politics and world geography. Grow your skills and ability to discuss and demonstrate your understanding of world events.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • summarize current world news and events. 
  • compare facts and opinions in news stories.
  • recognize fake news and disinformation.
  • discuss personal opinions about world news & events.
  • present news stories and world events.

Prerequisites

Students who are new to TVP Part Time classes must speak with the program team before registering.
