Course description

Develop friendships as you try new things and learn about facilities, activities and events around Calgary. You will meet with a facilitator at MRU once a month (1 hour) to brainstorm and plan a group activity that you will attend together (3 hours) later that month. This course focuses on working as a part of a team, effective communication skills and having fun. Students are responsible for transportation to and from the chosen location and the cost of the activities.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • design activity plans for the Alumni Activity Group.
  • collaborate with others to make decisions as a group.

Prerequisites

Students who are new to TVP Part Time classes must speak with the program team before registering.
