Course description

This course will broaden and increase students’ digital literacy skills in areas such as cloud computing, search engines, and Artificial Intelligence. Students will become more competent at searching, sorting and evaluating information, including social media and learn about the differences between the Internet and the World Wide Web.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • identify key features of cloud computing.
  • summarize the differences between the Internet and the World Wide Web (WWW). 
  • describe search results.
  • analyze misleading and disinformation in social media.
  • utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for basic tasks.
