Course description

Discover the basic principles of graphic design in the computer lab including proximity, alignment, repetition and contrast. Using computer-based graphic design tools and programs you will create newsletters, brochures and/or websites.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • define the meaning of graphic design.  
  • describe the principles of proximity, alignment, repetition and contrast
  • explain how computer graphic skills are used to enhance products.  
  • locate and analyze graphic designs in their daily lives.  
  • use computer-based graphic design tools and programs to create a newsletter, brochures and/or websites.
