Course description

In this course, you will learn about computer programming concepts and tools. You will become familiar with code editors and online programming tools. We will use these to write computer programs. You will also learn about Artificial Intelligence and how to test and debug your programs.

Recommended preparation: Basic computer skills are strongly recommended prior to taking this course.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to

  • describe the terms and syntax used in computer programming.
  • apply knowledge of coding languages to modify simple existing computer programs.
  • solve issues and bugs in computer programs.
  • apply knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript to write beginner programs.
