Course description

This course will help students become familiar with computers, tablets and smartphones. They will explore the different programs and functions available so that they can safely and successfully use these tools to assist with daily living.

Course outline

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • describe the various components of computers, tablets and smartphones. 
  • use a variety of programs and apps on computers, tablets, and smartphones to accomplish digital tasks.
  • conduct internet searches that yield relevant results. 
  • explain how to stay safe when using computers, tablets and smartphones.
  • discuss the concept of Artificial Intelligence.

Prerequisites

Students who are new to TVP Part Time classes must speak with the program team before registering.
