Course description
Explore self-identity and build self-confidence by enhancing communication skills and emphasizing problem solving in everyday life. Using an experiential approach, you will practice and apply skills individually and in small groups, covering self-esteem, trust and risk-taking, teamwork and stress management.Learner outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to
- increase awareness of self and self-confidence.
- acquire inter-personal, intra-personal, communication and problem solving skills.
- explore the aspects of trust and risk taking.
- practice skills for efficient teamwork.
- develop and demonstrate effective communication skills including oral competency.
- evaluate the amount of choice & control in their life and identify ways they may give up control.
- explore and utilize methods for stress management.
- gain an understanding of themselves and their actions in relation to others in the group and in a workplace environment.
