Course description

Further your understanding of paper drawings, documentation, and developing an overall concept. You will apply the concepts and practical skills attained in previous courses to accurately develop and present your final project.

Course outline

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • develop client interviewing skills.  
  • create a mood board, space plan, and furniture studies using design tools.  
  • create a professional client presentation.  
  • prepare final builder and client documents.

XIDA 10002 - Perspective Drawing with a minimum grade of C-
AND XIDA 10009 - Interiors Past and Present with a minimum grade of C-
AND XIDA 10011 - Colour and Light in Interior Decorating with a minimum grade of C-
AND XIDA 10012 - Materials for Window Treatments and Soft Furnishings with a minimum grade of C-
AND XIDA 10013 - Materials for Surface Finishes with a minimum grade of C-
AND XIDA 10014 - The Role of the Interior Decorator with a minimum grade of C-
AND XIDA 10030 - Introduction to Interior Decorating, 2 with a minimum grade of C-
