Course description

Examine how colour can be one of the most important and expressive elements in creating a successful interior design. You will explore colour theory, composition, and lighting through practical application.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • develop colour schemes and apply them to fabrics and finishes of a given space.  
  • apply colour theory to demonstrate related and contrasting colour combinations.  
  • determine the lighting requirements of a floor plan and select appropriate fixtures and bulbs.
