Course description

Learn basic bookkeeping concepts and explore the terminology needed to effectively use software such as QuickBooks and Simply Accounting. Explore important concepts like the accounting cycle, GST reporting and accounts payable and receivable. Discover how to set up a chart of accounts, track inventory and work with payroll.

Learner outcomes

 Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to
  • learn basic bookkeeping concepts.
  • explore company structure, terminology and concepts (charts of accounts, accounts payable/receivable, the accounting cycle and financial reports) needed for software such as QuickBooks and Simply Accounting.
