Course description

The ABC's of Music (formerly called Kodály Preparatory and Music Explorers), begins a student's musical experiences in an unparented music class setting. The program draws on core music education in a creative and engaging approach that combines musical games, folk songs, movement, instrument playing, and responding to selected classical music pieces. Music Explorers nurtures the development of the child's own instrument, the singing voice. It prepares children for the introduction of music literacy, rhythms, melodies and movement, as well as the beginning of internalizing musical concepts.
