Course description

Discovering Music (formerly called Kodály Level Two) classes create a playful atmosphere where children are actively engaged in a wide variety of musical experiences. The program nurtures the development of the child's own instrument, the singing voice, as well as the basics of music literacy (beat, rhythm, melody and harmony) through a rich repertoire of traditional folk songs, singing games and the use of rhythm instruments. The Discovering Music program, through its musical experiences, helps to build confidence and self-esteem in each child. It fosters a love of music, language and learning which will last throughout a child's life.
