Course description

Explore the history of Reiki, the energy system and the nature of Reiki energy, the Reiki Code of Ethics, the five principles or precepts, and the chakras. You will acquire knowledge of the Reiki hand positions and learn to provide a session for yourself or others through practical application. First Degree Reiki is focused on physical healing.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • identify needs of self or others to determine applicable treatment.  
  • demonstrate treatment skills by utilizing hand positions, visualizing a healing symbol, and addressing the chakras.  
  • reflect and debrief on the treatment session with self and/or client.
