Course description

Interested in learning the intricacies of composition, harmony and tone? Develop and deepen your musical knowledge and creativity through private lessons in musical theory! Our diverse faculty will help enrich students' experience with their own instrument and appreciate how instrumentation and composition function to create the sounds that evoke emotion from musicians and audiences alike.

Students will learn to write music in a variety of classical and contemporary styles. They also learn to use computer technology to create scores and parts, transcribe their improvisations and make recordings. Instruction is available for beginners of all ages as well as to more experienced artists who are looking to take their creativity and art to new levels with alternative approaches.

Prerequisites
