Strengthen your ability to create inclusive and equitable learning environments for adult learners. Explore equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) concepts, analyze personal and systemic biases, and learn how these factors impact adult education. Gain skills in applying evidence-informed strategies to enhance accessibility and inclusivity, integrate inclusive instructional practices into curriculum design and delivery, and develop a personal action plan to promote EDI in your educational practice. Learn directly from experienced adult educators as you apply practical tools to real-world scenarios to foster inclusive, respectful, and learner-centred experiences.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to

  • discuss equity, diversity, and inclusion concepts and relevance in adult education.
  • analyze personal and systemic biases that impact adult learners.
  • utilize evidence-informed strategies to enhance accessibility and inclusivity in adult education settings.
