Enhance your expertise in leading engaging and inclusive learning experiences for adults in both academic and workplace settings. Explore facilitation strategies, assess your own facilitation style, and learn how to guide participation using proven adult learning techniques. You’ll integrate equity, diversity, inclusion, and Indigenous engagement practices to create culturally responsive learning spaces. Learn how to evaluate instructional resources, enhance knowledge retention, and develop a personalized facilitation toolkit that incorporates multiple teaching modalities and feedback-informed improvements.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to

  • discuss facilitation strategies to guide the planning and delivery of engaging learning experiences for adult learners.
  • assess facilitation styles to support engagement and participation among adult learners using adult learning strategies.
  • integrate equity, diversity, inclusion, and Indigenous engagement practices into facilitation strategies to create culturally responsive and respectful learning spaces.
  • evaluate the effectiveness of different instructional resources and engagement strategies in promoting learner participation and knowledge retention.
  • develop a personalized facilitation toolkit that incorporates various teaching modalities, inclusive practices, and feedback-informed adjustments for continuous improvement.
