Course description

Develop the construction-specific project management skills needed to support successful project delivery. Learn how to apply standard project management structures, identify and address critical success factors, and consider key enterprise environmental elements in every construction project. You will gain hands-on experience creating preliminary project planning artifacts using industry best practices and proven project management tools. This Gold Seal eligible course is taught by experienced industry professionals. Strengthen your industry awareness, technical understanding, and practical capabilities to contribute confidently to construction project success.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to

  • describe the standard project management structure and its application to construction projects.
  • explain critical factors in construction project management and how to address them to support project success.
  • outline the project context and key enterprise environmental factors to consider during every construction project.
  • develop preliminary project planning artifacts for construction projects.
