Course description

Become inspired by creative ideas and understand design principles and cultural traditions that may impact your event. Discover how an event planner carries a theme through the decor and overall event design. You will acquire design tips and tools, and learn how to work well with a designer.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to 

  • create a design for a social event.
  • develop a budget for a social event.
  • prepare a production schedule for a social event.
