Course description

Explore the theoretical and practical aspects of computers in education and gain hands-on practice with different computing environments and software packages. You will also discuss the academic, social and cultural implications of technology in the classroom.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • develop an awareness and understanding of the principles of inclusive pedagogies along with the ability to implement them.  
  • develop the awareness and knowledge necessary to build practical skills in selecting, using, and facilitating assistive technologies for learning.  
  • develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to use assistive technologies for learning to design, facilitate, and direct educational experiences for all learners.  
  • develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to effectively communicate and collaborate through the use of digital technology.
