Course description

Develop an understanding of the issues and environmental requirements needed for change to successfully take place. Discover tools and techniques for assessing organizational readiness, capacity and preparedness for change. Key topics include the behavioural, generational, geographical and cultural dimensions of managing change, as well as stakeholder impact analysis and negotiating support for change.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • assess the scope, reach and impacts of a given change initiative.
  • recognize and assess the people influences in change, including cultural, political, and behavioural barriers to change.
  • apply techniques to assess organizational readiness and capacity for change.
  • identify and analyze situational and environmental factors that may impact change.
  • identify strategies to build organizational support, and leadership capacity for change.
