Course description

Make the most of your contracts with tips for choosing the best purchasing options, winning account payable strategies and proven scorecarding and reporting techniques. Use these tools to ensure contracts provide the long-term benefits your business needs. Upon completion, you will be able to describe contract management activities, prepare for contract renewals and terminations, and understand the importance of strong supplier relationships.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • describe common ways to purchase against a contract.
  • understand the role of the accounts payable function.
  • discuss scorecards as a tool to measure the success of a contract.
  • explain how to manage supplier relationships and continuous improvement discussions.
