Course description

Learn to construct a compelling business case that justifies a recommended solution to an organizational problem or opportunity. You will identify the critical facts and information leaders need to make sound investment decisions, allowing you to set realistic expectations for the change initiative and clearly outline the tangible value your solution brings to the organization.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to 

  • define the purpose, audience and goal of a business case.
  • apply critical thinking skills to identify feasible solutions.
  • evaluate solution alternatives according to their respective benefits, costs and risks.
  • analyze internal and external factors that may influence the viability of a business case.
  • develop a business case document.
