Course description

Explore process modeling through the lens of a business analyst by learning to model and analyze an existing business process and design a new and improved process. Using industry-standard tools like process maps, decomposition, SIPOC diagrams, Voice of Customer, and Root Cause Analysis, you will gain the skills to help businesses understand exactly what they do, why they do it, and how to implement meaningful improvements. 

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to 

  • implement business process mapping and modeling concepts.
  • apply a variety of process analysis methods to understand customer and process requirements, including the current state, desired state and opportunities for improvement.
  • use process design concepts to develop an improved business process.
  • describe the value of root cause analysis and its role in the continuous improvement lifecycle.
