Course description

Gain insight into criminal behaviour by exploring human needs and relationships. You will focus on normal human behaviour, gain an appreciation of cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary perspectives, and develop effective approaches in dealing with a variety of people.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • discover the physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual dynamics associated with the nature of humankind. 
  • identify the significant stages in the development of interpersonal relationships. 
  • illustrate a greater appreciation of self and effectiveness in dealing with groups of individuals. 
  • develop an expanded repertoire of basic philosophical principles and approaches in dealing with people.
