Course description
Examine a broad range of legal issues, including the laws of trust, contract law, tax law and human resource laws. Explore a risk management process that has direct application to non-profit organizations.Learner outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to
- draw reasonable inferences based on facts presented in cases and daily life situations.
- analyze various legal issues and arguments.
- select and implement the appropriate legal approaches each side would use to solve problems.
- integrate a familiarity with legislation and case law to evaluate case comment assignments.
- understand and use legal vocabulary.
- articulate and communicate clearly and concisely legal concepts and their application in both written and verbal formats.
- recognize and discuss legal issues from an ethical perspective.
- communicate effectively in small group activities, working in an open, flexible, and respectful manner.
