Course description

Explore program planning and assessment principles currently used in the non-profit sector. Gain the knowledge and skills necessary to create new programs and initiatives in a non-profit organization by creating a plan for a new program from the research stage through evaluation.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • identify how relevant issues and challenges influence the development of programs and services in a nonprofit organization.
  • summarize the skills and knowledge required to manage programs and resources.
  • develop a logic model using graphics to describe various program components.
  • understand the components and design of planning and evaluating a nonprofit program.
  • create a program plan in its entirety from the components above.
