Course description

Create the mood you want in a space by understanding the basics of design and how these relate to decorating. You will be guided through the process of designing an interior from an existing space into a transformed room.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • describe design principles and elements.  
  • prepare a scale floor plan. 
  • using the floor plan, organize furniture to scale with a consideration to client profile.  
  • create a visually appealing colour scheme.
