Course description

Develop intermediate skills to create professional looking documents. Learn how to use features and templates to create and format documents with more complex layouts, including styles, tables, pictures and objects, columns, numbering, headers and footers, tables of contents and templates.

Learner outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

  • use layout and design features of MS Word ® for professional writing and editing.
  • format documents using styles, tables, images, shapes, numbering, headers, and footers.
  • explain the value of templates and how to create one.
  • develop and manage content in large documents using section numbering, cross-referencing, tables of contents, and indexes.
