Course description
Gain an overview of project management in the workplace through this one-day introductory course. Acquire the basic tools and knowledge to overcome common challenges in project delivery. Note: This program can be offered through Mount Royal's Corporate Training unit and customized for your organization's needs. Course content is consistent with the PMBOK® Guide - Seventh Edition. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to
- describe the various approaches to project management, recognize the language of project management, and identify how project management uses models, methods, and artifacts in eight different domains.
- apply the principles of the initiating and planning process group to the development of a project charter.
- apply the principles of the executing, monitoring, and controlling process group to the management of project issues.
- apply the principles of the closing process group to the completion of a project close-out report.
