Course description
Cut through the fog of accounting jargon and manage finances more effectively. Learn how to interpret, evaluate and analyze financial statements. Using ratio analysis, assess the performance of a business from the balance sheet, income statement and other financial information.
Required course materials: a calculator.
Learner outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to
- explain why financial management is important to the successful operation of an organization.
- read and interpret financial statements.
- use financial statements to analyze company strengths and weaknesses.
- analyze the performance of an organization using financial ratios.
